Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Hampshire (Southeast England), are looking for an experienced Estates Surveyor to join their team and play a crucial role in their surveying operations. 

Position: Estates Surveyor
Rate: £28 per hour (Umbrella) 
Contract Duration: Temporary (April 2025) with Possible Extension

Key Responsibilities:

• To play a significant role in providing asset and estate management, development and regeneration and valuation advice.
• Support the Valuation and Estates Team Leader in providing professional advice on the Council’s commercial investment and operational property portfolios including matters relating to leasing, acquisition, sale, valuation, property management and rationalisation.
• Provide professional advice on the Council’s residential property portfolio including matters relating to acquisition, sales (Right to Buy, Leasehold enfranchisement and lease extensions under the Leasehold Reform and Housing Development Act 1993), and valuation.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Legal Officer (Planning & Property) or equivalent.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• To maintain membership of RICS and adhere to all professional codes of conduct including taking responsibility for own Continuing Professional Conduct.
• Degree level education with professional qualification (RICS)
