Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in West London, are looking for an experienced Legal Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their planning & property operations. 

Position: Legal Officer (Planning & Property)
Rate: £27 per hour (Umbrella) 
Contract Duration: Temporary (6 months) with Possible Extension

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide advice and guidance in Property matters to the Homebuy and Property Compliance teams to contribute to the delivery of the council’s objectives and priorities.
• Prepare legal documents and provide legal advice to clients in the following areas namely Right to Buy, Lease extensions, Collective enfranchisement, Licence for alterations, Discount Market Sale and Private Sector Leasing and routine acquisitions of land.
• To deal with the creation and discharge of mortgages.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Legal Officer (Planning & Property) or equivalent.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Law degree or equivalent.
