Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in the West of Central London, are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join their team and play a crucial role in their financial management operations. 

Position: Management Accountant
Rate: £27 per hour (Umbrella) 
Contract Duration: Temporary (May 2025) with Possible Extension

Key Responsibilities:

• To provide financial management information, advice and accounting support to designated service areas within the Business Group, including the co-ordination of the quarterly Revenue and Capital Budget Monitoring report, and promoting the use of financial systems.
• To co-ordinate the Budget Monitoring report for services within the remit of this role by setting up spreadsheets and tables to enhance financial monitoring and reporting and co-ordinating responses on forecasts and performance statistics by agreed deadlines.
• Responsible for the provision of appropriate, accurate and timely budgetary control information to budget holders, including salaries monitoring and forecasting. Providing this service in accordance with agreed standards and targets.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 2 year experience within a Management Accountant or equivalent.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualified or comparable relevant experience.
