Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a local authority in Northeast England, are looking for an experienced Childcare Solicitor to join their team and play a crucial role in their childcare operations. 

Position: Childcare Solicitor
Rate: Negotiable (Umbrella) 
Contract Duration: Temporary (July 2025) with Possible Extension
Working Hours: 37 hours either over 5 days or compressed over 4 days. 

Key Responsibilities:

Expected to run a caseload of care proceedings and pre proceedings, attend court for Case Management Hearings, IRHs and Final Hearings (subject to capacity)

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 2 years’ experience within a Childcare Solicitor role or equivalent.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Qualified childcare solicitor with experience of Public Law Outline.
