Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Southwest England, are looking for an experienced Right to Buy Co-Ordinator to join their team and play a crucial role in their property operations. 

Position: Right to Buy Co-Ordinator
Rate: £18.40 per hour (Umbrella) 
Contract Duration: Temporary (June 2025) with Possible Extension
Work Pattern: 3 days in the office / 2 days from home

Key Responsibilities:

• To provide professional and technical advice on property related matters to officers, stakeholders, and members of the public. Include advice on compliance with legislation, policy and best practice.
• To contribute towards the gathering of information, monitoring and reporting on data in relation to the property estate. To include the inspection, measurement and valuation of property as required.
• To negotiate legal agreements for the use of land and property by third parties on behalf of the council and to negotiate agreements where the council will be a tenant of a third party. Including negotiating rent reviews, assignments, surrenders etc.
• To implement operational land and property related transactions in order to optimise service delivery, capital receipts, revenue returns and to minimise the overall cost to the operational property portfolio.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Right to Buy Co-Ordinator or equivalent.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent qualification in housing OR equivalent demonstrable excellent knowledge, skills and experience to lead a regulated service.
• Knowledge and experience of working within a Right to Buy (RTB)
