Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in West Yorkshire, are looking for an experienced Commercial Vehicle Maintenance Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their fleet operations. 

Position: Commercial Vehicle Maintenance Officer
Rate: £22 per hour (Umbrella) 
Contract Duration: To be confirmed
Work Pattern: Office Based
Working hours are 7.15 to 15.45 (Monday to Thursday) and 07.15 to 12.15 (Friday)

Key Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for supporting the inspections, servicing, repairs and maintenance of the fleet, heavy goods and specialist municipal vehicles in accordance with statutory regulations and policies. 
• Provide advice and support for the correct use and care of specialist tools provided for repair and maintenance purposes.
• Ensure all requisite parts are in place in accordance with specified repair policy and that these are accessible in a timely fashion to ensure business continuity.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 3 years’ experience within a Vehicle Maintenance Officer role or equivalent.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Experience of supporting service and repair work on commercial vehicles
• Two years continuous experience within a commercial repair/service environment.
• Knowledge of City and Guilds 4101 Light Vehicle maintenance and repair or equivalent.
