Role Overview:

As a Building Control Surveyor, you will hold a valid registration with the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) at Class 3H. Working within Bristol City Council's boundaries, you will carry out site assessments and inspections to ensure compliance with building safety regulations. While the role has no direct reports, you will be expected to train and support staff as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct site inspections and safety assessments within Bristol City Council boundaries.
• Ensure compliance with relevant building safety legislation and standards.
• Support, train, and mentor colleagues as needed.
• Maintain a high standard of professional knowledge through continuous professional development (CPD) opportunities.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet regulatory requirements.
• Participate in call-out duties as required.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 3H registration with the Building Safety Regulator (BSR).
• Proven experience conducting site inspections and assessments.
• Strong understanding of building safety legislation and regulations.
• Ability to work flexibly, including home working and site visits.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
