Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a London Borough , are looking for a Pest Control Officer to join their team.

Position: Pest Control Officer
Rate: £17 per hour

As a council employee, you will lead with a focus on outcomes, ensuring residents are at the heart of every decision. Your role involves delivering public hygiene pest control services to residents, internal, and external clients.


Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver public hygiene pest control services within set timeframes to residents and clients.
• Collaborate with line managers, senior management, and colleagues to ensure excellent service delivery.
• Provide expert advice on pest control, prevention, and best practices to residents, businesses, and council departments.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, codes of practice, and council policies.
• Focus on achieving positive outcomes for residents, businesses, and the public.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and efficiency within the service.
• Support the council’s emergency planning and response initiatives as needed.
• Assist in election-related activities when required.

Job Requirements:

• Full UK driving license for small and medium vans (manual transmission).
• RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months post-qualification experience in pest control services.
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written) to build positive relationships.
• Ability to prioritize workload and meet targets.
• Teamwork and collaboration skills
• Proficiency in data recording, report writing, and basic computer use.
• Physical ability to access challenging spaces, use ladders, and wear protective gear.
• Ability to follow procedures and accurately calculate product dilutions and application rates.
