Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a local authority in London , are looking for an experienced Complex Repairs Surveyor  to join their team and play a crucial role in their administrative operations. 

Position: Complex Repairs Surveyor
Rate: £28 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract Duration: Temporary (March) with Possible Extension

The main purpose of the role is to specify/monitor required works and quality inspect on behalf of the council. To ensure works are carried out by the contractor in accordance with the specification and scope of programme.

Key Responsibilities:

• The role involves specifying, monitoring, and quality inspecting works on behalf of the Council to ensure contractors adhere to the project scope and specifications.
• The complex works surveyor will primarily be based on-site, maintaining daily records of project progress, resources, and risks.
• Some projects may require ladder and scaffold access.
• The role supports the Council’s corporate priorities, including creating good jobs, addressing the climate crisis, and combating inequality.

Job Requirements:

• Relevant qualification (e.g., CIOB, RICS, CIH) and experience in building construction, including trade and social housing maintenance.
• Knowledge of health & safety legislation and housing management systems in a social housing context.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with customers, contractors, and stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to provide technical advice, deliver customer-focused service, and coordinate workloads effectively.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and relationship-building skills.
• Possess a vehicle, clean driving license, and understanding of Equality and Diversity in the workplace.
