Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, a Local Authority, who are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Early Help Practitioner to join their team based in the South London area.

• PAY RATE: £30.76 per hour
• WORK TYPE: Temporary
• WORK PATTERN: Full Time
• LOCATION: South London 

JOB SUMMARY
The Senior early help practitioner responsible to engage families in recognising the need for change in order to improve outcomes for their children and work with them to achieve sustainable changes. Also to conduct whole family assessments that consider risk factors such as poor school attendance, physical and mental health issues, substance misuse, worklessness, offending, exploitation, financial difficulties, safeguarding, domestic violence and parental conflict

JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:
  

• To create a whole family plan with families that includes the voice of children and has SMART objectives to address risk factors and improve outcomes for children
• Work directly with children and families and actively engage them in sustainable change within the resources available, enforcing positive parenting responsibility through a twin track approach of high challenge and high support.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

• Experience working with local authorities. 
• Must hold a recognised and relevant academic and/or professional qualification at level 5/Degree level or higher in direct work with families or have significant experience in complex whole family work
• Knowledge and understanding of child development, parenting capacity, environmental factors and risk and protective factors for poor outcomes for children
• Ability to summaries, analyse and evaluate complex information in relation to family assessments and practice, as well as to formulate and implement effective plans with families
