Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a local authority in London, are looking for an experienced Personalised Commissioning Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their Children's services operations. 

Position: Personalised Commissioning Officer
Rate: £24 per hour (Umbrella) 
Contract Duration: Temporary (March 2025) with Possible Extension

Key Responsibilities:

To be responsible to the Team Manager for commissioning and securing high quality provision for individual children and young people, including:

• Ensuring that provision commissioned meets the children’s assessed needs, strengths and preferences and are designed to secure good outcomes for the child and represent good value for money.
• To take a lead role in identifying and securing provision, including placements for looked after children, which are appropriate to meet the needs and reflect the strengths and preferences of individual children referred.
• To negotiate with providers to secure the best match for an individual children or young person and ensure the best price for accessing the provision.
• To undertake quality assurance visits on providers in assessing the nature of their provision and whether it meets expected quality standards.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 2 years’ experience within a Personalised Commissioning Officer role or equivalent.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• To undertake all duties with due regard to the provisions of health and safety regulations and legislation, Equal Opportunities and Customer Care policies, and the New Technology agreement
