JOB SUMMARY

Must report to the Associate Director of Integrated Commissioning & System Development (Early Help, Social Care, and Personalised Commissioning) or the Head of Integrated Commissioning and Systems Development.


JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:  

• Creating and putting into practice our integrated commissioning strategy between the NHS and the Council, which allows for solid collaborations and top-notch services that help residents live independent, healthy lives.
• Assisting colleagues by collaborating and co-producing our integrated commissioning framework for adult and child services, which supports an integrated, outcome-focused approach to health and social care and includes suitable governance structures.
• Implementing transformative change through commissions for results, including increased integration of health, care, and other forms of support, in partnership with the market, residents, and colleagues throughout the system.
• Delivering all commissioning activities in high-value projects will fall under the purview of the Strategic Commissioning and System Development Lead, who will also be held accountable for the actions of the officers under their supervision.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

• Degree-level education, a comparable professional credential, managerial experience, or knowledge gained via training or experience.
• Strong understanding of the health and care system, policy, priorities, and practices, as well as practical implementation experience obtained in a health, care, or local government setting.
• Strong understanding of behavioural science, service design, and transformational tools and techniques that lead to better results for people.
• Comprehensive understanding of the laws that are pertinent to the position, such as the Mental Health Act of 1983, Deprivation of Liberties, the Children's and Families Act of 2017, the Children's Act of 1989, the Health and Care Act of 2022, the Care Act of 2014, the Mental Health Act of 1983, and statutory regulations and government guidelines, as well as standards pertaining to planning, commissioning, procuring, safeguarding, and quality assurance. This involves being aware of the rules pertaining to services for adults and/or children and adolescents.
• Sound understanding of the requirements of residents who are at risk.
