Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a local authority in Hampshire, are looking for an experienced Housing Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their housing operations. 

Position: Housing Officer
Rate: £16.50 per hour (Umbrella) 
Contract Duration: Temporary (February 2025) with Possible Extension

Key Responsibilities:

• The Housing Officer is expected to help tenants meet their responsibilities in order that they can sustain their tenancies as outlined in their tenancy agreement whilst delivering excellent customer service.
• Housing Officers support their customers by providing budgeting advice, assistance with maximising income, tackling anti-social behaviour, working as part of the multi-agency team involved with a family and advising tenants on how to maintain their homes and keep their gardens in good repair.
• Role to be focused on Tenancy Update visits which are required by the Housing Regulator, confirming person occupying is the tenant, completing a questionnaire, identifying any tenancy concerns, property condition concerns or breaches including safeguarding and subsequently feeding back to Housing Office or Repairs Support team to complete any follow on actions.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 2 years’ experience within a Procurement Project Officer role or equivalent.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• You may need to have the use of a car for the role, so it would be an advantage if you have a current driving licence and daily use of a vehicle.
