Position: Senior Complaints and Information Officer
Rate: £35 per hour
Contract Duration: 3 - 6 months (with possible extension)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm
   
   
Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and champion, through service and staff development, the Health and Safety, Equal Opportunity and Information Security Policies.
• To ensure that the post holder complies with their responsibilities as laid out in the council’s health and safety policy and takes an active role in promoting a positive health and safety culture.
• Promote and ensure participation in the individual performance appraisal and development initiatives and information management best practice.
• To support the operation and general elections when requested by the returning officer.
• To motivate, train, develop and performance manage staff to maintain an effective workforce capable of meeting its objectives.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 2 years’ experience within a Senior Complaints role or equivalent.
• Previous work experience, in particular gained within a Public Sector environment.
• Excellent customer service skills with proven ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal), in particular when resolving complaints and other matters.
