Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a local authority in Southwest England, are looking for an experienced Clean Air Zone Travel Advisor to join their team and play a crucial role in their clean air zone (CAZ) operations. 

Position: Clean Air Zone Travel Advisor
Rate: £15 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract Duration: Temporary (June 2025) with possible extension

Key Responsibilities:

• Excellent communication skills with experience of engaging with people from a range of backgrounds face-to-face, by email, over the phone and the ability to converse with citizens and provide advice in accurate spoken English, or through a BSL interpreter.
• The temporary CAZ officer will be required to undertake office duties whilst working on the financial support for non-compliant vehicles and will support officers across the wider team with transport related project activity.
• There will be opportunity to attend in person events such as consultation and roadshow sessions and the launch of school streets. The team are based at the Create Centre in Bristol.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation (Desirable) 
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Willing and able to work flexible hours and to travel to several places within a working day and to work in all weathers as the role will require outdoor work.
• Should be literate and numerate – able to closely follow and understand briefings and carry out work with minimal supervision.
• Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications or equivalent including the following: Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, and have a willingness to learn new applications and technology as appropriate.
