Work with purpose in a service based NFP organisation focused on its members. Positive culture, supporting, friendly, and stable.
Your New Company
As a long standing member based not for profit organisation, you'll enjoy a stable job, work alongside great people who support each other, capable leadership, and about 50 staff all up, with a small finance team. Every person can make a difference in a company this size, especially you! The Company offers 37.5 hour work weeks and paid overtime (if required) along with the benefits of salary sacrificing. 1 day work from home is encouraged, and depending on work outcomes/performance, this may be negotiable.
Your New Role
In such a small team, you'll serve as the 2IC to the CFO and have oversight and mentorship of the full accounting function and team. From traditional month end reporting, balance sheet and bank reconciliations, oversight of AP, AR, Payroll, liaising ORIC audits, handling tax matters (BAS, PAYG, GST). From the strategic side, you'll drive the budgeting process, cash flow forecasting, account analysis, and support revenue contracts. Though the position is 'senior accountant' it is very similar to a finance manager role, just a smaller environment.
You'll do most of your work in XERO and MS Excel, and create and deliver presentations on PowerPoint to the executive team. Any advanced abilities to streamline, automate or make more efficient would be very welcomed by your supportive and high EQ CFO. You have the highest ethics, integrity, positive attitude, attention to detail, and take pride in your work.
