Your New Role
Due to continued growth and expansion, a director of finance for the newest hotel development is required. This is an asset level role, however, will also support other areas of the group during the construction phase. You'll support the group CFO by maintaining multiple financial models for each of the key operational divisions, and be hands on with your particular division in all regards. You will play a critical role in system selection (over 20 systems hotel wide), consultation, and implementation. Further, you'll set up reporting, develop automations, manage design changes, and be solely responsible for the integrated pre-opening budget and relevant variance analysis updates. This challenging role will evolve continuously, where your adaptability, creativity and problem solving ability will shine through. Initially, this is a stand alone role until operational phase, you will be hands on with the financial modelling, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, presentations, and anything asked of you - the word 'no' does not exist in high end hospitality - there is a way, you will find it, and deliver.
As we approach launch and opening, your role will shift to operations and you'll reporting directly to the General Manager and have a dotted line into the group CFO.
Your Profile
First and foremost your have a real passion for customer experience and a hospitality background. You know what good looks like, having worked in exceptional properties locally or globally, understanding best practice in operations, finance, and service. You are adaptable, a problem solver, and thrive in complex, dynamic environments, all with a smile. From a skills perspective, you will bring your financial modelling expertise as you'll build and maintain the budget model for the construction phase and operations phase of the project. Further, you are one of those special systems guru's, you'll help with selection and implementation of front of house, back of house, ERP, procurement, POS, booking, and other systems - with the help of in house IT and external consultants. It is highly like you've had one or more stints as Director of Finance in high profile resorts, hotels, properties.
