Work alongside semiconductor facilities engineering department to provide operational and design support for critical process/mechanical systems
Minimum Qualifications:
• 2+ years’ experience with Semiconductor related process mechanical systems or similar
• BS in Chemical engineering, Mechanical engineering or similar STEM degree + experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Basic to strong knowledge and capability with common data query and manipulation techniques such as SQL, Power Query, Power BI, R, Python, etc. to effectively leverage data analysis to develop insight and drive informed decision making.
• Experience and knowledge with bulk and spec gas systems.
• Experience and knowledge of vacuum pump and abatement systems.
• Experience and knowledge of precursor dispense systems.
• Strong organizational and documentation skillset.
• 7+ years’ experience with Semiconductor related process mechanical systems or similar
Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Work alongside facilities engineering department to provide operational and design support for critical process/mechanical facility systems, supporting capacity expansions and system improvements.
• Manage Spec gas point of connection approval and matrix database, driving necessary continuous improvements. May expand to management of other process points of connection.
• Provide tool install support for Spec/Bulk gas and chem systems with the assistance of senior engineering system owners reviewing.
• Work with engineering system owners to create critical system and design documentation that can be reviewed and approved by system owning engineers. Focus would be on gas systems followed by process mechanical systems such as waste, PCW, CDA, etc.
• Coordinate and help drive improvements to standard hookup details and tool install engineering documentation/requirements
• Participate in / perform audits of tool install and participate in punch list walks.
• Participate in SL1/SL2 walks to provide engineering input / oversite on turnover to operations.
• Work with operations staff to troubleshoot issues on process/mechanical systems, identify areas of improvement, propose and drive improvement activities.
• Query and manipulate operational data to create useful analysis and presentations to drive data based decisions.
• Create and review critical system operating trends and SPC charts as needed.
• Participate in design and construction activities supporting CAPEX project plans.
• Prepare project request forms with review and input from system owning engineers to drive CAPEX projects.
• Work alongside process mechanical engineering staff in various degrees to support engineering staff but ultimate accountability falling on the system owning engineers.
• Create temporary work instructions for atypical operations to be reviewed by system owning engineers and transmitted to operational staff
• Obtain input from operational and engineering staff on requirements for small projects/improvements, drive generation of quotes and step plans with trades, and support project coordination and execution
• Provide requested oversight/auditing of standard and atypical operations and support associated documentation and training improvements
• Support preventive maintenance and spares management programs for critical systems
