The Opportunity
We are seeking a Services Engineer to join our project team based in Norwest, Sydney, this a flagship data centre campus built for the future of cloud and AI. With up to 96MW of total capacity, fast go live capability, and the flexibility to support everything from air cooled racks to leading edge liquid and immersion cooling, SYD1 is designed to scale with next-generation workloads. Backed by a strong sustainability focus delivering industry leading efficiency, low water use and reduced emissions SYD1 offers a rare opportunity to be part of a high impact project shaping Australia’s digital infrastructure.
In this role, you will deliver the projects essential services by:
- Managing the interface requirements between services and building components including design, coordination, approval, installation, commissioning, and completion requirements.
- Providing input into scope of works planning design and constructability reviews and subcontractor capability assessment.
- Proposing solutions to technical design issues or validate consultant proposals in line with quality standards and document agreed changes for future knowledge sharing.
- Ensuring that the design and construction of building services systems meet engineering, scope and cost requirements.
- Assisting with the project planning, sequencing and coordination with services design planning requirements, considering design options, engineering solutions and value for money initiatives.

Your Skills and Experience - You hold a Construction Management, or relevant Engineering Degree (Electrical, Mechanical or associated discipline) or relevant Trade Qualification.
- You have previous Construction Industry experience in a services engineer role, ideally a Data Centre.
- You have previous experience in either Mechanical or Electrical services.
