We're on the lookout for an experienced CNC Machinist to join a team in Hornby, working for a company that specializes in manufacturing roll forming systems. This is a great opportunity for someone who knows their way around CNC mills and lathes, can confidently programme machines, and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
 
The work involves low-volume, high-value components with tight tolerances, so attention to detail and a strong understanding of precision machining are key.
 
What you'll be doing

• Programming, setting and operating 3-axis CNC mills and CNC lathes
• Working with Doosan DNM 4500 and Leadwell V-50L milling machines, along with a Doosan CNC lathe
• Machining high-precision, low-volume components to tight tolerances
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Checking your own work and maintaining high-quality standards
• Taking ownership of jobs and ensuring everything is machined accurately
• Conducting routine machine maintenance and equipment checks

What we're looking for

• Solid experience as a CNC Machinist
• Confident programming, setting and operating CNC machines
• Experience with both milling and turning
• A strong understanding of machining tolerances and precision work
• The ability to work independently and problem-solve
• Someone who takes pride in their workmanship and doesn't cut corners

The details

• Location: Hornby
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am-4pm
• Pay rate: $40+ per hour
• Work: Long term opportunity
