About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Construction Foreperson or an aspiring 2IC. This is a hands-on leadership role working with ground crews across civil construction projects.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Leading and supervising a team of ground workers onsite
• Coordinating daily tasks and ensuring work is completed to schedule
• Reading and interpreting plans and specifications
• Maintaining high health & safety standards
• Liaising with site managers, clients, and subcontractors
• Supporting crew with hands-on work when required
• Accurately record required information using electronic devices
• Drive company vehicles in line with policies and legal requirements
• Carry out routine vehicle and equipment checks (e.g., lubrication, cleanliness, condition)

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in civil construction
• Previous leadership or 2IC experience (or ready to step up)
• Strong understanding of earth works/civil construction and site processes
• Ability to read and interpret plans
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Relevant licensing (class 1, W,T,R) (C2 or 4 is always a bonus)
