Forklift Operator - Frame & Truss Yard
 
Our Frame and Truss client in Kaiapoi is looking for a reliable and skilled Forklift Operator to join their busy Frame & Truss Yard team.
 
This is a hands-on role where you will play an important part in supporting our production and dispatch operations. You'll be responsible for safely handling timber products, managing yard stock, and ensuring materials are ready for production and delivery.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently
• Moving and organizing timber in the frame and truss yard
• Preparing and supplying materials for the production team
• Managing yard stock and maintaining a tidy, organized work area
• Safely handling long, heavy, and awkward loads using a forklift
• Assisting with general yard duties when required

About You

• Current forklift licence (OSH)
• Proven experience operating a forklift in a yard or warehouse environment
• Confident loading and unloading trucks 
• Confident handling long or awkward loads such as timber/piping
• Strong focus on safety and attention to detail
• Reliable, physically fit, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
