Our Frame and Truss client based in Kaiapoi is seeking an experienced and motivated Yard Supervisor to lead their Frame & Truss Yard. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the yard operates safely, efficiently, and supports the smooth flow of materials for production and dispatch.
 
 
Key Responsibilities

• Supervising the daily operations of the Frame & Truss yard
• Leading and supporting yard staff to maintain safe and efficient workflows
• Coordinating the loading and unloading of trucks
• Managing yard stock and ensuring accurate organization of timber and materials
• Ensuring materials are prepared and supplied to the production team on time
• Overseeing safe handling of long, heavy, and awkward loads
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe yard environment
• Monitoring health and safety compliance within the yard
• Assisting with forklift operations when required

About You

• Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or building supplies environment
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience
• Current forklift licence (OSH)
• Strong understanding of timber handling and yard logistics
• Confident coordinating truck loading, stock movement, and production supply
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong focus on safety and team leadership
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
