Our client is a leading sheet metal fabrication and batch manufacturing company based in Bromley, Christchurch, and they’re looking for a reliable Dispatch Assistant to join their busy warehouse and logistics team.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

You’ll be responsible for assisting with the smooth and accurate dispatch of a variety of products, ensuring everything is packed, labelled, and ready for delivery. This is a hands-on role that requires strong attention to detail and good teamwork.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch
• Operate forklifts safely (current OSH certificate required)
• Check product numbers, labels, and quantities against delivery notes
• Wrap pallets and assist with building or adjusting pallet sizes for large products
• Keep track of product locations and maintain accurate stock records
• Use company systems for dispatch and record-keeping (basic computer skills an advantage)

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Good computing skills
• Current OSH forklift certification (essential)
• Previous experience in dispatch, warehousing, or manufacturing
• Reliable transport and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
