Our client is a respected name in the construction industry, delivering high-quality structural projects across the Canterbury region. They are currently looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Steel Erector to join their experienced and professional team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking multiple experienced Steel Erectors to take responsibility for the assembly and installation of steel components for various commercial and residential construction projects. This role requires strong technical ability, a commitment to safety, and a proactive approach to working as part of a team on-site.

Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely and accurately assemble and install steel beams, columns, girders, and other metal components according to blueprints and project specifications.
• Use cranes, hoists, and other machinery to lift and position steel pieces.
• Ensure proper alignment and secure placement of components.
• Weld, bolt, or rivet steel components securely.
• Perform high-quality welding and maintain the structural integrity of all connections.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and other tradespeople to ensure efficient workflow.
• Maintain compliance with Health & Safety procedures and industry regulations at all times.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

Preferred Certifications:

• Site Safe
• Certified Welder (if applicable)
• Forklift or Crane Operator Certification (if applicable)
