Are you a Billing Coordinator with law firm experience?    Would you like to work with a highly regarded mid-sized law firm in DC?   If so, R & W Group has a great new opportunity!   One of our favorite law firm clients is looking for a Senior Billing Coordinator to support the accurate and timely preparation of client invoices. You must demonstrate exceptional communication skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service. The role requires the ability to perform effectively in a fast paced, deadline driven environment and to collaborate seamlessly with a high performing team.
 
Responsibilities and Duties:

• Prepare, revise, and finalize pre-bills and invoices by performing narrative edits, write-offs, and adjustments, and by ensuring accurate and timely billing and e-billing submissions. Troubleshoot and resolves issues as needed.
• Implement and maintain automated Outside Counsel Guidelines (OCG) processes to ensure billing compliance and finalize complex invoices in accordance with client OCGs and firm billing rules.
• Administer OCG rule settings and work with time capture systems to validate and correct time entries in accordance with individual client requirements.
• Coordinate and follow-up with billing attorneys and legal administrative assistants to ensure timely processing of bills.
• Work both independently and collaboratively with team members to meet all deadlines and maintain efficient departmental workflow. 
• Process and post cash receipts and wire transfers accurately and promptly.
• Review and approve write-offs and adjustments initiated by billing attorneys, ensuring compliance with firm policy. 
• Assist with all aspects of timekeeper and matter rate maintenance, confirming rate accuracy with appropriate firm members. 
• Generate and distribute billing metrics and reports; prepare special reports upon request. 
• Support other Billing Coordinators with billing tasks and ad hoc requests from attorneys and administrative professionals, ensuring timely responses. 
• Manage the full billing cycle for assigned attorneys and assist additional attorneys as required.
• Perform additional responsibilities and duties, and complete special projects as assigned. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• College coursework or degree preferred; five plus years of law firm billing experience required. 
• Proficiency with billing systems such as 3E/Elite and BillStream. 
• Experience with time capture systems (e.g., iTimekeep) and e billing platforms.
• Understanding of Outside Counsel Guidelines (OCG), including automated OCG processes and rules management. 
• Working knowledge of accounts receivable processes and familiarity with posting cash receipts. 
• Skilled in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel, and comfortable working across multiple financial systems. 
• Ability to prepare, edit, and finalize complex invoices, including manual edits in Word. 
• Must be detailed-oriented, demonstrating a high-level of accuracy and ability to interpret complex billing requirements. 
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize deadlines. 
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment. 
• Adaptable, receptive to feedback, and able to learn new systems and processes quickly. 

The hours would be 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.   Compensation is $90,000-$120,000, depending upon experience.   Solid benefits including health insurance.    Great team.   Apply online or register with us at www.r-wgroup.com.
