The Opportunity
 
We are currently seeking a motivated and client-focused Senior Accountant to join our growing Business Advisory team in our Melbourne CBD office.
 
This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with Partners and Managers across a diverse client portfolio while further developing your technical expertise, leadership capability and commercial acumen within a collaborative and supportive team environment.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
In this role, you will:

• Prepare financial statements and statutory compliance obligations including BAS, GST, FBT and income tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships and trusts
• Manage the planning, execution and completion of client assignments
• Liaise directly with clients, responding to queries and providing timely, practical advice
• Assist Partners and Managers with file reviews and client deliverables
• Mentor and support junior team members in their professional development
• Build and maintain strong, trusted client relationships
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture

About You
 
To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• 3 - 5 years' experience within Business Services / Business Advisory
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce or similar
• CA/CPA qualification completed or near completion
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and compliance requirements
• Experience using APS, MYOB and cloud-based accounting platforms such as Xero or QuickBooks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to engage with clients and senior stakeholders
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
