Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor  
Location: Midlands
Salary: £25k - £40k (dependent on experience, skills and qualifications)
 
We’re looking for a driven and talented Assistant Quantity Surveyor for a groundworks and civil engineering company in the Midlands.  The company is progressive, growing and has a proven track record of delivering exceptional projects. As an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you’ll join a commercial team that believe in supporting, developing and progressing key talent. 
 
What you’ll be doing:

• Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and valuations for groundworks projects
• Supporting contract negotiations and supplier/client relationships
• Helping to monitor project costs and financial performance
• Assisting with financial reports and forecasts
• Working closely with Quantity Surveyors to enhance the success of projects

About you:

• Relevant experience in quantity surveying within groundworks/civil engineering/building/construction
• A qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field (or equivalent)
• Knowledge of modern workplace systems and relevant software
• Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail
