Since its launch in 2007, the MSWA Lotteries program has helped us to invest a staggering $48 million in medical research.
Now, having just given away our 31st Grand Prize home in the most recent sell-out Mega Home Lottery, we have an opportunity for a strategic and experienced marketing expert to be our Head of Lotteries and lead our high-performing team during a 12-month parental leave period.
This is a unique opportunity to oversee one of WA’s most successful product portfolios, drive innovation, and actively contribute to MSWA’s overall goal of supporting people living with a neurological condition.
Reporting to the Chief Experience Officer, you’ll be responsible for the development, implementation and optimisation of the MSWA lottery portfolio and the associated marketing and product plans, in line with MSWA’s strategic and operational plans.
The overall responsibility of the role is to develop the lottery strategy, providing leadership and support to the highly motived Lotteries team in the production of outstanding, effective, and best practice campaigns that will continue to generate significant fundraising income for MSWA. The lottery strategy also includes the management, optimisation and introduction of innovative new products for the portfolio.
This a full-time, 12-month contract for parental leave coverage based at our Belmont location.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the Chief Experience Officer as part of a large marketing team, alongside other key stakeholders, to contribute to organisational strategies and plans.
- Develop and implement the lottery operational plan, including but not limited to scheduling lottery campaigns, overall budget setting, workforce planning and product management.
- Oversee the planning, production and implementation of a broad range of MSWA marketing campaigns – some of WA’s largest – that deliver strong fundraising outcomes and meet regulatory requirements.
- Provide strategic insights into lottery performances through the use of market and lottery supporter data.
- Review the effectiveness of all campaigns and products, and the market in which they are conducted, to refine and optimise strategy and tactics, create or maintain sustainable competitive advantages and support continual improvement and fundraising success.
- Identify and maximise opportunities within the Lotteries portfolio that can achieve broader fundraising and communications objectives to establish significant corporate partnerships, or major donor opportunities.
- Provide leadership, direction and guidance to the team with an emphasis on delivering inspiring work, effective teamwork and a strong focus on MSWA’s purpose, as well as the management of training needs and career development.
About you:You’re a strategic leader with a passion for purpose-driven marketing and a track record of delivering delivering successful campaigns in complex environments. You don’t have to be a lottery expert, but you have a great intuition for marketing excellence and campaign success.
