Health & Safety Senior Advisor

12-Month Contract | Perth CBD | Tier 1 Mining Operator
Up to $115 per hour | January 2026 Start

We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Senior Advisor to support a major Tier 1 mining operator.

This is a Perth-based, office-focused role with a strong emphasis on feasibility studies, HSE systems, documentation and technical deliverables, rather than day-to-day site supervision. Occasional overnight site visits will be required.

The Role

Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, you will provide technical HSE support across the studies lifecycle as projects progress toward mobilisation and execution. Key areas of focus include:

• Supporting feasibility and studies phases, including tender evaluations and early works readiness
• Reviewing, updating and aligning documentation within the HSE Management System for iron ore projects
• Supporting IPT and project systems, ensuring consistency and compliance across studies deliverables
• Providing HSE input into contractor evaluations, risk assessments and contract strategies
• Supporting civil and NPI programmes with HSE risk identification and controls
• Contributing to systems assurance activities, including desktop reviews and readiness assessments
• Providing clear, high-quality technical reporting and documentation for internal stakeholders

About You

You are a technically strong HSE professional who enjoys working in a studies, systems and documentation environment, with a proven ability to deliver quality outputs to tight timelines.

You will bring:

• Minimum 4–6 years’ experience in Health & Safety roles within mining or resources
• Demonstrated experience supporting studies, projects and technical deliverables
• Strong capability in HSE Management Systems, documentation and governance
• Experience with systems assurance, audits or compliance reviews (highly regarded)
• Sound understanding of regulatory and Tier 1 operator requirements
• Strong written skills with the ability to produce clear, structured HSE documentation
• Tertiary qualifications in HSE and/or Lead Auditor certification (beneficial but not mandatory)

• 12-month contract (January 2026 start)
• Perth CBD (office-based)
• Up to $115 per hour
• Occasional overnight site travel required
• No FIFO or rostered site work
