You've worked hard to build your accounting career. But where does it go from here?

You've developed your technical expertise, built strong client relationships and earned the trust of those around you.

But here's a question worth asking yourself.

Is there a genuine pathway to Partnership where you are, or are you waiting for an opportunity that may never come?

Perhaps you're ready for more autonomy, greater influence over business decisions, the opportunity to develop others or simply a firm that recognises your potential beyond your current title.

Whether you're considering a move before Christmas or planning your next career chapter in 2027, this could be the conversation that changes your direction.

This is an opportunity to join a firm that offers the resources, expertise and professional development of a larger practice, while maintaining the personal connections, accessible leadership and collaborative culture that make a real difference.

Most importantly, there is a pathway to Partner for someone with the ambition, capability and commercial mindset to take that next step.

Why is this opportunity worth exploring?

• Salary of $125,000-$165,000 + super, open to discussion and dependent on experience, expertise and the value you can bring.

• Flexible working arrangements: A firm that understands the importance of balancing professional responsibilities with life outside work.
• Diverse client exposure: Work with businesses across a broad range of industries, providing advice that extends beyond traditional tax compliance.
• Continued professional development: Access technical training, leadership development and ongoing support from experienced professionals.
• A genuinely positive workplace: Join a collegiate, inclusive and social environment where your contribution is valued and your ideas are welcomed.

The opportunity

As Manager within the Business Advisory team, you'll play an important role in managing client relationships, overseeing technical accounting and taxation matters, and working closely with the Partner to deliver commercially focused advice.

This is a hands-on leadership role that combines technical expertise with relationship management, mentoring and broader business advisory responsibilities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of clients across a diverse range of industries and business structures.
• Building and maintaining trusted relationships, acting as a key point of contact for clients.
• Reviewing financial statements, income tax returns, BAS, IAS and associated compliance work.
• Providing technical taxation advice, tax planning and practical business advisory solutions.
• Working directly with the Partner on complex client matters, business strategy and growth opportunities.
• Overseeing workflow, deadlines, quality assurance and the delivery of exceptional client service.
• Supporting, mentoring and developing junior and intermediate accountants.
• Identifying opportunities to enhance client relationships and expand advisory services.
• Contributing to the broader success and continued development of the Gold Coast practice.

What will help you succeed?

We're looking for an experienced accounting professional who brings more than technical capability.
You'll be someone who enjoys building relationships, takes ownership of outcomes and is confident working with clients and colleagues at all levels.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• 5+ years' experience in Australian public practice accounting, ideally with exposure to business advisory and taxation. While 6+ years is preferred, we welcome conversations with capable professionals at the five-year mark who are ready for their next step.
• CA or CPA qualification.
• Experience managing a client portfolio independently, or demonstrated readiness to take on greater client management responsibilities.
• Strong technical knowledge of Australian taxation, compliance and financial reporting.
• Experience reviewing work and supporting the development of other accountants.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage directly with business owners and senior stakeholders.
• A proactive, commercially minded approach to identifying opportunities and solving problems.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Experience using Xero, highly regarded.
• A genuine interest in developing your leadership capabilities and progressing towards Partnership.

Most importantly, you'll bring initiative, integrity and the desire to be part of a firm where collaboration, client outcomes and long-term relationships matter.

What could the next five years look like for you?

It's easy to become comfortable in a role, particularly when you're good at what you do.

But being comfortable and continuing to grow aren't always the same thing.

If you've been thinking about what the next stage of your career should look like, perhaps it's time to explore a firm that can offer more than another management title.

This opportunity offers the potential to build towards Partnership, develop your leadership influence and contribute to the future direction of an established advisory practice.

You don't need to be actively looking to have a conversation.

Whether you're ready to make a move now or considering a fresh start in 2027, we'd welcome the opportunity to understand what you're looking for and whether this firm could offer the right fit.
