This opportunity is suited to an ambitious lawyer who is ready to take greater ownership of matters while continuing to learn from experienced senior practitioners.

Our client is an established, full-service commercial law firm with a strong reputation across the Gold Coast and nationally.
The firm provides the resources and quality of a larger practice while maintaining the accessibility, relationships and personalised service of a boutique firm.
You will join a collaborative litigation team where lawyers work closely together, share knowledge and are supported to develop. You will receive direct mentoring from experienced, award-winning senior lawyers, including an Accredited Specialist in Litigation.
The firm operates from newly built, contemporary premises in a central Gold Coast location, only minutes from the beach.
The opportunity
You will work across a varied portfolio of commercial litigation, dispute resolution and insolvency matters for a broad range of quality clients.
With the support of senior lawyers and Partners, you will be encouraged to take meaningful ownership of your matters and continue building your technical, commercial and client management capability.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing commercial litigation, dispute resolution and insolvency matters with increasing autonomy
- Advising clients on risk, strategy and commercially practical resolution options
- Drafting pleadings, court documents, advices, affidavits and correspondence
- Appearing in courts and tribunals
- Representing clients at mediations, settlement conferences and negotiations
- Working with Counsel, experts and other external stakeholders
- Negotiating commercial outcomes that align with each client's objectives
- Managing client expectations, deadlines and competing priorities
- Contributing to the collective success of the litigation and insolvency team
- Building trusted relationships with clients and referral partners
About you You will ideally bring:
- 3 to 8 yrs' post-admission experience
- Demonstrated experience in commercial litigation, dispute resolution or insolvency
- Current Queensland legal experience and knowledge of relevant court processes
- The ability to manage files autonomously, with Partner support available when required
- Strong drafting, negotiation, advocacy and analytical skills
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of the realities facing business clients
- Confidence communicating with clients, Counsel and other parties
- Sound judgement, attention to detail and a solutions-focused approach
- The ability to manage multiple matters and meet critical deadlines
- A positive, collaborative attitude and genuine interest in professional development

The billable expectation is
5.5 hours per day.
