While this is primarily an office-based role, the firm understands that flexibility matters and is open to discussing arrangements with the right candidate.

With realistic billing expectations of approximately 5-6 billable hours per day, the focus is on delivering quality outcomes rather than excessive targets.

The Role
You will manage a broad range of family law matters, with exposure to both dispute resolution and litigation work, including:

• Managing your own family law caseload from commencement through to resolution
• Advising clients across a variety of family law matters
• Conducting negotiations and dispute resolution processes
• Working on parenting and children's matters
• Managing property settlement and financial matters
• Drafting correspondence, court documents, affidavits, applications, consent orders and related legal documentation
• Appearing in court for mentions, directions hearings, conferences, interim hearings and final hearings where appropriate
• Developing strong client relationships and providing practical, commercial advice
• Opportunity to gain exposure to additional practice areas for those interested in broadening their experience

About You
We would love to hear from lawyers who possess:

• 1-10+ years PQE, although all levels of experience will be considered
• Family law experience, ideally gained within private practice
• Confidence managing files and client relationships independently, or a desire to develop these skills with appropriate support
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and strong drafting capability
• A professional, empathetic and client-focused approach
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and modern legal practice systems
• A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a collaborative team culture
