About the Role:
As Senior Category Lead, you’ll own the end-to-end category growth execution, translating consumer, shopper and market insights into compelling and effective strategies.
Partnering closely with Sales, Marketing and Portfolio teams, you’ll influence joint business plans, and play a key role in developing relationships with retail customers and representing DON’s category vision at a senior level.
Responsibilities:
- Own and lead end‑to‑end category growth plan, translating insights into clear strategic direction
- Develop compelling, insight‑led category strategies aligned to customer and business objectives
- Lead customer range reviews, category presentations and strategic discussions with major retail partners
- Partner closely with Sales, Portfolio and Marketing teams to influence joint business plans and execution priorities
- Lead, coach and develop Category team members, building capability and elevating standards of thinking
- Embed shopper and consumer insights into IBP and broader commercial planning rhythms

About You - A degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce or a related field.
- 5+ years experience leading category strategy within FMCG, ideally Food or Beverage environments
- Proven ability to translate consumer, shopper and market insights into commercial growth opportunities
- Confidence influencing senior internal stakeholders and engaging with major retail customers
- Demonstrated experience with consumer insights data platforms such as Quantium, Circana/Nielsen, and Unify.
- Clear communicator with the ability to bring insight to life through storytelling and structured thinking
