The Role
We currently have a full-time opportunity within our Maintenance team for a qualified A-Grade Electrician on afternoon shift! The shift hours will be Mon-Fri, 2:30pm to 11:00pm
You will join a highly motivated and experienced team that provides time-critical electrical maintenance support to ensure the reliability, safety and performance of equipment across our Castlemaine manufacturing site.
About the Role
- Diagnose and resolve electrical equipment breakdowns efficiently, minimising downtime and maintaining productivity in a safe manner.
- Complete planned and preventative electrical maintenance activities to support equipment reliability.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production team members to communicate equipment status, particularly during shift changes.
- Maintain safety and compliance standards, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance equipment reliability and production efficiency.
- Apply sound analytical and problem-solving skills when identifying and resolving electrical faults.
- Maintain relevant registers, logs and systems to accurately track repairs, notifications and completed work activities.
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships across the Facilities & Services, Maintenance, Production, Planning and Engineering teams.
About You To be considered for this role have current, full work rights in Australia. - Trade qualifications as an A Grade Electrician – this is a must, unfortunately we cannot accept any applicants without this.
- A minimum of two years’ demonstrated electrical trade experience. Preferably in industrial/ food manufacturing environments.
- A safety mindset with a strong commitment to ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.
- Sound understanding of reactive, planned and preventative maintenance systems and techniques.
- Customer focused and conscious of production and maintenance timeframes.
- Able to work and communicate effectively within a team environment.
- Experience with similar equipment. Ie Industrial packaging equipment, bearings, seals, shaft repair, conveying systems, etc
