About the role:  
  
Join our dynamic Smallgoods team at DON as a Cost Accountant. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to one of Australia's leading food manufacturers. You will be responsible for providing critical financial insights and support to our operations, ensuring accurate product costing, and maintaining robust financial controls.  
  
Responsibilities:  

• Weekly and monthly accounting for Material Usage Variance (MUV) and labour, providing insights into variations to forecast.  
• Ensure timely and accurate product cost updates, collaborating with NPD, CI, Operations, and the Finance Business Partner.  
• Support the Finance Business Partner and Smallgoods Operations teams with KPI reporting and financial analysis.  
• Manage and prepare KPI reporting for Smallgoods stream stakeholders.  
• Ensure compliance with ABF stocktake and cycle counting processes within the Smallgoods streams.

About you:  

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.  
• Studying towards a Professional Accountancy qualification (CPA, CA, CIMA, ACCA) is desirable.  
• Effective communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.  
• Proven experience in process improvement and change management.  
• Strong knowledge of Excel and experience with ERP systems.
