Job Title: Structural Engineer – 2-4 years experience
Site Location: Leeds 
Responsible To: Structures Team Lead
Purpose of the Role: To contribute to the delivery of innovative and sustainable structural designs across a range of prestigious projects.
Client Brief: To support the development of cutting-edge projects in sectors including healthcare, residential, and commercial, while being part of a diverse and dynamic team.
 
KEY INFORMATION
 
Reason for Vacancy: Expansion of the Structures team and the need for additional structural engineering expertise.
Contract: Permanent
Hourly Rate: Salary Range: £30,000 - £45,000
Shifts: Standard business hours with possible hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days at home)
Holidays: 26 days holiday + bank holidays, increasing to 31 days with loyalty days

RESPONSIBILITIES
 
The Role: As a Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and analysis of building structures. Responsibilities include:

• Producing calculations and specifications.
• Conducting technical reviews of drawings and junior members' designs.
• Preparing tender and contract documents.
• Attending coordination, design team, and site meetings.
• Performing Finite Element Analysis.
• Utilizing software tools including Robot, Masterseries, Etabs, Tedds, and CSC Fastrac Building Designer.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED

• Relevant civil or structural engineering degree.
• Experience in structural calculations and specifications.
• Familiarity with technical reviews and design documentation.
• Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis and relevant software.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with team members and clients.
