What you'll do:
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll oversee the day-to-day management of all the financial operations as well as contribute to the development and implementation of important projects. You’ll ensure the integrity and efficiency of our financial systems, processes, and policies, including managing internal controls, compliance with statutory regulations, and funding obligations. You'll lead a finance team of 3, overseeing financial accounting, management accounting, and accounts payable, with a focus on helping the team deliver a high standard of work and providing coaching and development. In addition, you'll support the Head of Finance by contributing to the development and implementation of process and system enhancements, in consultation with key business stakeholders.

The details:

• Full time, 18 month contract
• Based at Macquarie Park, hybrid work options available

What you’ll bring:

• Proven hands-on experience in a similar end-to-end finance management role
• CPA/CA qualified is essential
• In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and statutory obligations
• Not for Profit sector experience is highly desirable, or the ability to navigate complexities of multiple government-funded contracts
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and pragmatically
• Proven leadership with experience building high-performing teams
• A strong commitment to continuous improvement and driving efficiencies
