Understanding the Program

This role sits within the Remote Australia Employment Service (RAES) program, a federally funded initiative delivered by ALPA in communities across Arnhem Land. RAES is similar in purpose but introduces a more flexible, strengths-based approach to remote employment. It supports job seekers through skills development, mentoring, and tailored employment pathways, with a large focus on community-led priorities.

About the Role

As a RAES Employment Services Team Leader, you will play a critical role in supporting participants to achieve sustainable employment outcomes under the Remote Australia Employment Services (RAES) program. This position focuses on delivering tailored, culturally safe, and strengths-based services, including job placement, employment retention, and employer engagement.

• Lead and manage a team responsible for Employment Placement Support
• Develop and manage Employment Placement Support plans.
• Track participant progress across 4, 12, 26, and 52-week milestones.
• Ensure accurate claims submission and compliance with RAES standards.
• Engage with employers to secure and maintain employment opportunities.
• Lead and coach team members to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Maintain EPS plans as live documents and record all activities in the system.
• Claim Employer Incentive Funding and ensure timely payments.
• Submit accurate reports and maintain supporting evidence.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

What You Need to Succeed

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Cultural competence and understanding of remote contexts.
• Attention to detail and commitment to compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change.
• Leadership and team management experience.
• Proficiency in employment services systems and IT tools.
• Experience in employment services or case management (RAES/CDP familiarity desirable).
