Our client is a global investment firm providing investment management services to institutional and individual investors worldwide. They manage over $300b globally including over $30b in Australia. Their Australian clients include wealth management firms, superannuation funds, charities, universities, foundations, and government related funds. 

About the role
Our client is seeking a driven and determined professional to provide analytical support to the Australian institutional investment team. The successful candidate will work alongside an innovative group of professionals to deliver reporting materials to internal stakeholders and clients. They will provide support in preparing advice related to investment policy and asset class structure, whilst maintaining and expanding on client relationships.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Undertaking mathematical modelling, including strategic asset allocation
• Liaising with existing client relationships
• Assisting with implementation of new client portfolios
• Liaising with Fund Operations, Performance and Reporting and Investment Division teams on issues relating to clients and prospects
• Supporting the production of investment reports, and producing analytical commentaries
• Supporting team members and mangers on day-to-day issues and operations.  

Skills & experience: 

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, Mathematics or related field 
• Strong technical competencies in data manipulation and spreadsheet applications
• Excellent problem solving, time management and communication skills 
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to present complex concepts and messages clearly and concisely
• Ability to work with a wide variety of people including team members, clients, members, actuaries, auditors, and industry regulators
• Interest in and understanding of investments including capital markets, investment managers and investment products.
