If so, you might be the perfect fit for our Production Operator position at Masterfeeds Inc! As a Production Operator, the following will be your key responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor production of feed using computerized and controlled systems, including grinders, pellet mill and grain flaking equipment
- Accurately weigh/meter all the ingredients from approved formula
- Maintain mixing records, inventory records and complete routine maintenance on machinery
- Ship, receive, package, clean and document the production and completion of HACCP records
- Load and unload trucks per plant requirements
- Troubleshoot minor problems as needed and perform emergency maintenance tasks to fix the problems
- Maintain a safe and sanitary atmosphere and ensure compliance with quality standards
- Assist plant personnel as needed, and requested by the leadership team
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Handle and move materials, including lifting up to 25 kg repeatedly
- Perform physically demanding duties including bending, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely
- Work at elevated heights when required
- Basic mechanical skills and computer literacy
- Operate a forklift (experience is an asset; training may be provided)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all safety procedures and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toed boots and hard hat.
- Prioritize tasks, follow instructions, and work effectively both independently and in a team setting
- 1–2 years of manufacturing experience is an asset (willing to train the right candidate)
- Previous feed mill or agricultural experience is an asset
- Understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Must be available to work rotating shifts Monday to Friday:
- Days: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Afternoons: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Preferred:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or agricultural setting
- Trained in Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)
- High school diploma or equivalent
