Feed Formulator Location: Canada (Remote)   
  
Reporting to the Formulation Manager, the Feed Formulator is responsible for managing feed formulations and supporting internal teams and customers with nutrition-related requests. This role ensures formulas are production-ready, cost-effective, and compliant with Canadian and U.S. feed regulations.   
  
Key Responsibilities:

• Handle sales and customer inquiries on animal nutrition.
• Handle sales and nutrition requests for formula changes.
• Implement national program product roll out to specified plants.
• Manage feed formulas and prepare them for production.
• Handle production challenges, such as developing substitute ingredient options.
• Keep a record of formula changes and verification.
• Understand local feed regulations – stay up to date on regulation changes.
• Provide recommendations for product improvements.
• Prepare accurate feed labels that are compliant with regulatory requirements for the target market (Canada and US).
• Manage formula updates and records for toll production consultants and customers.
• Manage list files for regular least cost updates.
• Manage rework requests from plants by creating rework ingredients and working with the order desk to find suitable destination formulas for the rework.
• Review QC ingredient results on a regular basis and update plant ingredient nutrients as required.
• Manage bulk updates of products, e.g. internal micro premix changes.
• Work within all safety and legislative requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

  
Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Agriculture or Life Science
• Minimum 2 years related work experience in the agricultural industry.
• Direct involvement of the feed industry, animal nutrition, formulation software, computer skills (MS office, Internet)
