As a Truck Driver, the following will be your key responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate documentation, ie. driver logbook/E-logs, inspection reports, maintenance and repair reports, sequencing paperwork for feed loads
- Plan travel schedules and routes, receive and relay information by communicating with dispatch and office
- Interact daily with customers and provide excellent service
- Transport goods to designated locations in a timely manner, adhering to delivery schedules and routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the safety and roadworthiness of the vehicle and equipment
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high standard of safety and compliance
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations governing commercial transportation
- Daily truck maintenance including end-of-day refueling, greasing and washing as required
Requirements:
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Valid AZ license and clean abstract with air brake endorsement
- Minimum of one year AZ truck driving experience
- A Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration (CVOR)
- Ability to short haul, as required
- Reliable attendance record
- Experience using a GPS
- Customer service skills to support customer satisfaction
- Understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
Preferred:
- Have knowledge about agriculture and geography
- High school diploma or equivalent
