We're looking for a Bulk Shipper Receiver at Masterfeeds Regina to help us manage our inventory and ensure timely delivery of goods. As a Bulk Shipper/Receiver, the following will be your key responsibilities:
- Loading and Unloading Bulk Materials
- Shipping & Receiving Operations:
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against shipping documents.
- Inspect in-coming ingredients for contaminations and discrepancies.
- Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Complete bills of lading, shipping labels, receiving logs, and other required documentation accurately.
- Material Handling and Storage:
- Safely transfer bulk materials to and from storage areas.
- Ensure proper storage conditions to maintain product integrity and safety.
- Coordination with Other Departments:
- Communicate with production, logistics, and quality assurance teams to ensure timely and accurate shipment and receipt of materials.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations (e.g. WHMIS, OSHA).
- Inventory Control:
- Assist in cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels and notify appropriate personnel of shortages or overages.
- Cleaning and Equipment Maintenance:
- Maintain cleanliness of shipping/receiving areas and equipment.
- Perform basic maintenance checks on shipping/receiving tools and report any malfunctions.
- Packaging and Labeling:
- Ensure correct packaging and labeling of bulk shipments according to regulatory and customer requirements.
Requirements:
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Basic mechanical skills and computer literacy
- Capable of performing physical job duties (may include lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, climbing, crawling and twisting safely)
- Using personal protective equipment (PPE), must be able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions (may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc.)
- Ability to prioritize tasks and follow-up
- Understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work day/afternoon/nights shift rotation
Preferred:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or agricultural setting
- Previous experience of forklift
- Trained in Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)
- High school diploma or equivalent
