As a Heavy Equipment/Trailer Mechanic at our company, you'll be part of a dynamic team that values expertise and dedication. You'll have the chance to work on a variety of equipment, ensuring that our fleet is always running smoothly and efficiently.
As a Heavy Equipment/Trailer Mechanic, the following will be your key responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic, maintenance and repairs of heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, forklifts
- Complete assigned maintenance and repairs in a timely manner
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and suggest corrective action.
- Maintain Equipment Service Logs and other documentations as required
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and resolve mechanical problems
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and maintain clean work area
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Valid Class 1 drivers license
- Knowledge of heavy equipment highway tractors and trailers, forklifts and diesel engines
- Proficiency in using tools and equipment
- Good manual dexterity and able to perform intermittent heavy lifting
- Reliable attendance record
- Understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Working hours will be Mon-Fri 8-5
Preferred:
- Experience with welding and cutting tools
- High school diploma or equivalent
