Turuki Health Care is a kaupapa Maaori organisation delivering integrated health, wellbeing and social services across Taamaki Makaurau. Our mission is to provide high quality, accessible and affordable healthcare to whaanau, with a dedicated focus on equity and culturally responsive care.
We are looking for a passionate and community focused Kaiarataki - Cancer Screening Navigator to join a new Cancer Hub service based in Maangere. In this role you will support whaanau across Counties Manukau to access breast, cervical and bowel cancer screening, helping increase early detection and improve outcomes for Maaori and Pacific communities. This role is fulltime, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm.
Te whiwhinga mahi – The opportunity
This is an opportunity to work directly in the community, supporting people who are not currently participating in regular cancer screening to access life-saving services. Your mahi will focus on establishing trusted relationships, strengthening health literacy and reducing barriers so whaanau can confidently participate in screening programmes.
