Sports & Spinal Group is one of Queensland’s leading allied health providers, and we’re excited to introduce a newly created Payroll Manager position. We are investing in growing our payroll team with the introduction of this role, designed to strengthen our payroll function to support the ongoing growth of our business.

About the role
This role has been created to provide dedicated leadership of end-to-end payroll operations across the business while supporting broader remuneration & benefits, reporting, and payroll compliance activities. The Payroll Manager will provide direct leadership to the Payroll Officer and be responsible for:
- leading payroll operations and governance,
- processing pay runs,
- supporting payroll compliance and Award interpretation,
- driving process improvement initiatives,
- supporting payroll and HR systems projects,
- and mentoring and supporting payroll team members.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating structure, improving processes and partnering closely with HR, Finance and operational leaders to deliver high-quality outcomes.
About you We’re looking for someone who:
- has strong payroll leadership or senior payroll experience,
- has excellent attention to detail and organisational skills,
- understands payroll compliance and Award interpretation,
- enjoys process improvement and systems work,
- can build positive relationships with stakeholders,
- and thrives in a collaborative and solutions-focused environment.
Experience within healthcare, allied health or multi-site environments will be highly regarded.
