The Opportunity
This is a key opportunity for a commercially minded, strategically driven Commercial Project Manager to join a globally respected design consultancy.
You'll play a vital role in driving business growth, maximising project profitability, and ensuring commercial success across a portfolio of world-class lighting and architectural design projects.
Working closely with the Directors and Design Associates, you'll balance commercial oversight with creative collaboration, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to financial targets.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial process - review RFPs, develop fee proposals, negotiate terms, and support new business opportunities.
• Manage project finances - track budgets, monitor profitability, and maintain cost control to deliver strong margins.
• Oversee contracts and risk - review agreements, warranties, and insurance, ensuring compliance and financial security.
• Collaborate on project execution - work with design teams to align scheduling, resources, and reporting for seamless delivery.
• Foster strong client relationships - act as a trusted partner, supporting the leadership team in business development and repeat wins.
• Drive operational excellence - refine pricing models, financial processes, and project reporting tools for ongoing improvement.

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience in commercial or project management, ideally within architecture, design, or the built environment.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen, with a proven record in managing budgets and profitability.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and client-facing skills.
• Strong organisational and analytical abilities, with attention to detail.
• Competence in spreadsheets, ERP systems, and commercial reporting tools.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, creative, and deadline-driven environment.
