As we continue to grow, we are seeking a commercially astute and operationally driven General Manager / Operations Manager to join our senior leadership team at our North London headquarters.
 
Role Overview:
The GM/Operations Manager will oversee and optimise day-to-day business operations, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure the seamless delivery of projects from design to installation. This role is ideal for someone with a strong manufacturing or design/production background, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for innovation and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Leadership: Lead and manage all aspects of operations, including production, logistics, supply chain, and project delivery.
• Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the board to develop and execute strategies that align with growth targets, improve efficiency, and ensure client satisfaction.
• Team Management: Mentor, support, and develop cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Project Oversight: Oversee the delivery of bespoke lighting projects to global clients, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, implement systems and procedures to streamline operations and improve productivity.
• Client & Partner Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for high-value clients, suppliers, and international partners to ensure seamless communication and delivery.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to health & safety, sustainability, and quality management standards across the operation.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience as a General Manager, Operations Manager, or similar senior leadership role within manufacturing, design, or engineering.
• Strong knowledge of production workflows, project delivery, and operational management in a custom/bespoke product environment.
• Experience working with high-end clients and delivering premium products on a global scale.
• Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets, analyse KPIs, and drive profitability.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Solutions-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Degree in Business Management, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification a plus.
• Experience in the lighting, interiors, or luxury manufacturing sector preferred but not essential.
