Job Title: Product Co-ordinator
Location: Dartford, Kent
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time / hybrid working
Working Hours: Monday – Friday | 08:45 – 17:15 (1-hour lunch)
Reports To: Head of Technical and Product Strategy

All products are proudly manufactured in the UK, enabling them to maintain full control over quality and respond quickly to custom requirements.
Our client list includes leading international lighting designers, and our solutions illuminate iconic projects across the world—with exports now accounting for 50% of our output. Following significant growth, they've expanded their team to over 90 staff and added a second site to support increased demand and development.
 
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Product Co-ordinator to support the continued growth of their product portfolio. This new role is critical to ensuring their offerings remain innovative, relevant, and customer centric. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams—design, sales, technical, and marketing—to manage the full product lifecycle and help drive the strategic direction of our product range.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Act as a key stakeholder in shaping and managing the product portfolio and strategy.
• Conduct lifecycle assessments and implement product phase-out plans.
• Develop NPD (New Product Development) briefs, incorporating market research and customer insights.
• Perform competitor and market analysis to guide product innovation.
• Collaborate with the sales team and meet with clients (virtually or in-person) to gather feedback.
• Train internal teams on new product launches and updates.
• Facilitate product changes across sales and marketing teams in collaboration with design.
• Review and contribute to marketing materials before release.
• Support feasibility analysis for custom product requests.
• Produce testing quotes and prototypes for NPD and training purposes.
• Assist with packaging development for new products when needed.
• Monitor product profitability and assist with pricing strategies.
• Maintain and update pricing systems, product codes, and export lists.
• Assist with product certification processes alongside the technical team.

What We’re Looking For
Essential:

• 2–3 years’ experience in a product management or coordination role (ideally within lighting or electrical industries)
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments and with clients
• Sound understanding of the product lifecycle and product development processes
• Experience in successful product launches and portfolio management
• Analytical mindset with strong commercial and technical awareness

Desirable:

• Formal qualification in Product Management, Mechanical or Design Engineering, Product Design, or Business
• Experience working with international stakeholders and export documentation
• Proficiency in data handling and research methodology
